ECHELON uses Strava to load your running activities so you can choose a run and create an overlay from its stats.
Strava data
After you authorize ECHELON, the app uses the Strava API to load your Strava profile, running activities, activity details, routes, and activity streams. This information is used to show your runs and generate activity statistics and splits.
Your Strava activity data is processed on your device. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or upload your profile, activities, routes, or activity streams to our own servers.
Strava processes your account and activity data under the Strava Privacy Policy. Strava may also monitor API usage as described in its API Policy.
Connecting Strava
The Strava sign-in and permission screen is provided by Strava, so ECHELON never receives your Strava password.
An ECHELON service hosted by Cloudflare securely completes the connection between the app and Strava. It does not store your Strava sign-in details, activity data, or the information used to keep the app connected. Cloudflare processes ordinary network request information as described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
The app stores the information needed to keep you connected securely on your device.
Map previews
Route coordinates are loaded from Strava and processed on your device. ECHELON uses Apple Maps through the native MapKit framework to generate the map previews shown behind your routes. MapKit may send route-area information and ordinary network information, such as your IP address, to Apple when it loads map content.
Apple processes Maps data under the Apple Maps & Privacy notice.
ECHELON does not send your Strava profile, activity title, activity statistics, or Strava account identifier to the map provider.
Exports and device access
Exported overlays are generated on your device. An overlay is written to your photo library or clipboard only after you choose the corresponding action.
Storage and deletion
ECHELON does not maintain an account database or store your Strava activity data on its servers. Activity data remains in the app's memory while you use it and may also be held temporarily by standard device and network caches.
Your Strava tokens remain in secure storage until you disconnect Strava. Disconnecting Strava removes the saved session and loaded activity data from ECHELON on that device.
You can also revoke ECHELON's access from your Strava application settings. Revoking access is managed by Strava and invalidates the authorization granted to ECHELON.
